The academics offered at PCC are second to none, and the professors truly care about individual students and strive to help them succeed. Unfortunately, under its current leadership, the college has abandoned the values and standards that distinguish and inspire others. While they benefited from what previous generations of leaders had done at PCC, they quickly undermined the foundation on which the college was built. By trying to "fit in," be "relevant" to others and "afford" to a variety of people, the college quickly became like any other college and lost everything that once separated it.
PCC is an amazing school with affordable prices and good Baptist values. Overall, the students are friendly and diverse, and the teachers are always willing to help. Many complain that the rules are strict, but the school gives a disclaimer about this so you know what you're getting into. The only and main problem with PCC is that it does not have the right accreditation. The only program I know of that has proper accreditation with PCC is the nursing program. I have a pre-med degree, but because of the school's accreditation, it has been very difficult for me to find a school that will accept my credit. Many people always tell me that they are accredited and they… just don't have the right accreditation. Options for graduate school after a degree from PCC a small selection of Christian universities, e.g. Bob Jones, Southwest Baptist and Liberty. Although I like the school, accreditation is a big issue for me, so I have to give it a 3/5.
